Haute Couture Academy Of Fashion, Fine Arts & Design

I was craving for sewing classes since it was something i loved all my life and I went to two fashion schools in my area. Had a negative experience with first one just from a consultation. I went to Haute Couture after and was just amazed how lucky i was to meet Joanne Dice, and was very impressed with how much passion was put into the academy. Joanne spent 2 hours of her time just to give me an idea of what i was about to experience! Took two amazing courses and would love to go back one day. They offer an amazing selection of courses! Highly recommend! Forever their fun!

My daughter Ariel has taken both the arts and currently the sewing classes at the Academy. Although she is not planning on pursuing a career in fashion ( at the moment ) the skills she has learned at the school are life skills. She loves fashion and the creativity of design and making her own pieces. Learning to sew has been a very great confidence booster not to mention it is a lost art that is under appreciated. When friends and family see the outfits she has made , they are so impressed. This school has been an escape during tough times, she has made great friends that share her passion. Joanne has always had kind words to share and Nicole has been not only a great teacher but an amazing Role Model for the young girls ( well done Joanne) . I am so thankful that Ariel has had the opportunity to be a student at HC. I would encourage anyone to enroll their child in some classes here whether or not they wish to pursue a fashion career. They will learn life skills they can take with them forever.

Highly recommend this school for anyone that wants to learn about fashion and art no matter what age you are. You're never too old to learn something new and with the help of the amazing teachers @ haute couture academy they truely love to teach and encourage their students to succeed. I started my first course online at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown with zero sewing experience and now I can can sew my own wardrobe! I was really impressed on how organized the online courses were set up and in-person.The teachers are really engaging and teach practical techniques in the fashion industry. I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed each class! Thank you to all the wonderful teachers at Haute Couture Academy for making this an amazing experience!

Joanne has brought the Fine Arts and Design of Europe to Vaughan. An amazing school that will have your loving the learning of Fashion and Fine Arts. I myself went 13 years ago and sent my daughter at age 9. I loved it and actually now teach Fashion at the High School Level and my daughter sewed several garments and show cased them in the annual Fashion Show. Each course is detailed and intriguing. HC Academy goes beyond. It is easy to say that the level of instruction in all genres of art and fashion are parallel to none, but they go beyond...the teachers offer more then instruction and knowledge, they offer care, concern and comfort. So often while being immersed and engaged in art, my daughter is also being listened to, empathized with and heard. Her time spent with Nicole Dice is beyond that of simple instruction. It's a place where the students can feel comfortable discussing their weeks events. They are in a safe space created by Nicole. She offers my daughter a place to grow both in art and as a person. My heart felt thanks for all that you and Joanne do for so many.

My daughter attended Joanne's Haute Couture design school while in high school. The level of skill, patience, education and fashion design exposure found here, in my opinion, cannot be found anywhere else. Andrea's first garment was a shirt which she had to redo the sleeve 3 times. She was ready to quit but persevered and went on to develop sketching, design, draping, visual art and sewing skills that put her at a competitive edge leading to an acceptance to Ryerson and FIT in NYC. She chose the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where she excelled which I credit to her hard work and fabulous foundation established at Joanne's school. Her pattern making teachers often asked her where she learned her skills and had her demonstrate her techniques to the class...a testament to her fabulous teacher early on. She has worked for many well known designers in NYC and Montreal...Mackage, Zac Posen, Marchesa, Kimora Lee Simmons(KLS), Kiki Lingerie and many more. Each a different challenge met with skills, confidence and work ethic instilled in her by Joanne early on. She is now the creative director of a high end ethical Cashmere company outperforming all expectations. She has also been asked to mentor a graduating class with their final collections at Parsons in NYC. A career in fashion is hard work and requires commitment, time management, skill, and passion. I believe my daughter is talented as many are, but I also believe her creative edge and love for fashion and design was nurtured and developed under the careful skillful eye of Joanne and teachers at her Haute Couture Academy.Forever grateful, Andrea's mom.

My daughter is 12 years old and has been attending this wonderful school since last year.Instructors are very well trained and professional and at the same time very friendly.My daughter's learning experience has been amazing and she has improved a lot.There are many fun courses to choose from and lots of hand on experiences.I can easily say it is the BEST fashion and art school out there.Thanks to Joanne for providing such creative and at the same time a fun environment for our kids to enjoy.Keep up the good work.

HC Academy is the best place to learn, have fun and achieve goals. I came to HC confused, lost and with no portfolio whatsoever. Joanne, Nicole, Ashley and Sabrina worked very hard with me over the summer + the rest of the school year terms and helped me build a Portfolio I never imagine I could. They were great and the support was essential. I ended up getting into my top choice school and so I am forever grateful for all their help!

Very good academy for arts classes. One of my friend's son (11 years old) has joined evening arts (sewing) classes. He loves it. His teacher Andrea is excellent. He eagerly waits every week to attend the class, all thanks to his teacher Andrea. Would recommend to those interested in arts.
